May 7 - From Home to Coeur dAlene

Knew the trip back was going to be via the Palouse Scenic Byway and needed to get to Coeur dAlene on the boring fast road ;-). Took I-90 over. And yes, the Harley can hold its own for speed on I-90..

May 8 - Ride over to Montana and around Coeur d'Alene National Forest / Lake Pend O'Reille

Rivers and lakes all along this ride, a shot of the Coeur dAlene river:

Stopped & had lunch at 'the Snake Pit', at one time a 'house of ill repute'. I had the Rocky Mountain Oysters (a delicacy in the western United States), as the menu says these are not from the sea ;-), the menu & the sandwich with tater tots (also from the western united states):

A shot of the Clark Fork river:

Riding along the Clark Fork river:

Further down the road just east of Clark Fork are a bunch of vehicles above you on the opposite side of the river, this is an active quarry not a tourist atraction::

May 9 - Trip to the Priest River

Rode to Priest River and rode along the road just south of the river, nice scenic drive, relaxing:

May 11 - From Coeur d'Alene to Home via the Palouse Scenic Byway

Palouse Falls, it runs better in the spring than it does later in the year, spring rains:
